Beautiful island, incredible food, great staff and one amazing water willa. The perfect holiday.

The food is mindblowing, there is an incredibly wide choice and the menu changes on a daily basis. There is genuinely no limit to the Chef's creativity and every dish is made with the greatest attention to detail. Amazing flavours and some of the best food i ever had. Our Water villa was a dream. The staff is especially what made the difference. They were kind, welcoming, professional and made our vacation unforgettable with daily events of different kinds. Always with a smile on their faces and genuine care, they were really one of the highlights of our stay. Really recommend the Robinson.

My best relaxing vacation

Perfect place for relaxing, the restaurant and bar are outstanding, great staff. Every time you are going for dinner - be prepared for delicious food, dress code is recommended for special events. Room furniture is a little bit out-of-date, however it does not neglect the overall perfection. Rather big reef, nice for snorkelling. My best vacation indeed. Island has a medium size, you can always find some privacy both at beach and water villas. There were some in-house parties but I was not interested.

There are calcium deposits and rust in the shower, but this is inherent for local water and humidity. Hot water in the buffet smells iodine, cannot drink a tee in the restaurant, kettle is available in the room.

Perfect tropical island paradise!

Staff was incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond for our anniversary surprise! The food was great and always different each night. The location was superb and we felt like we were on a secluded island with a lot of serene beauty and peach and quiet. The gym was also great and so was the snorkeling right off the island!

Little island with lots of happines! Definitely recommend to couples!

Everything was great: from the moment we arrived until we left in a week. Most of all we liked the atmosphere on the island. Everyone is smiling and looking so happy and relaxed. I would call it a Happy Island. We loved the food very much, which was made with various sauces and lots of love :) The spa in the Club makes you forget about the reality for a couple of hours. I loved the sound of the healing tibetan bowls in the beginning of the spa ritual. The color of the water is so beautiful, white sand, tranquility in this little paradise in 40 kilometers from eqator. makes you turn of your brain from the outer world and feel the real taste of life.

You can only be a disappointed if you come here by yourself - in that case you won't have who to share your happiness with ;)

Awesome

The location is stunning. The island is surrounded by a beautiful reef so we made plenty of use of the complimentary snorkelling equipment. It’s all so picture perfect. The main restaurant had a great selection of food, all very well cooked. The staff were excellent; well trained, friendly and helpful. From the waiting staff (Rasheed was amazing and speaks a ridiculous number of languages) to the the water sports team, spa team and maintenance staff.

The water sports were prohibitively expensive.

A wonderful place made even better by the amazing team that worked there.

The food was superb a lot of thought went into ensuring that different food was available throughout our time at the resort. I particularly liked the evening where staff from each country represented at the resort produced a meal from their country. The staff at the resort were very inclusive, it made you feel like one big family.

For an all-inclusive holiday where the island is the resort, any special events / meals / extras seemed quite expensive. In the room the mini bar drinks cost extra even though the same drink at bars did not?

Awesome

Nice water villa. It's always kept clean. There are programmes arranged during the day and in the evening. Nice coral near the jetty. Good variety of food and drink choices Attentive staff. We had a lovely bed decoration for our honeymoon and birthday.

Yoga program is a bit different from what I know (not so relaxing and focusing on breathing...) It's a bit dark in the evening (e.g hard to walk along the beach) Western food choice is totally good but Chinese food could be improved. Location is a bit far from Male but the transportation was well arranged.

An incredible experience--amazing food, insane snorkeling, great hospitality, very secluded

The service, food, location, stay, etc was extremely good. There are minor nitpicks I could make here and there (e.g. it took 30 seconds longer than I'd have liked for a coffee at one point, haha) but Robinson's is amazing. I'm writing this review right now from the Dominican Republic, where I'm staying this week for a conference, and the entire time I've been wishing I was back in Maldives at Robinson's. If it weren't so far from me in the USA, this would be my go-to destination, and Maldives in particular. Staying in the beach/ocean villas is absolutely the right choice--the ones on the water are hot as hades during the day, they're far from everything too, and the garden ones you don't get the private beach walkout and the savings isn't enough to justify the sacrifice of feeling like you own your own slice of paradise.

Likely my fault, but I wasn't aware at the time of booking that the plane/speedboat ride to the island would be an extra $540 a person. Combined with airline incompetence and cancellation fees, this hit me with a $1300 expense right out of the gate. The turtle safari was OK when we went, not really worth the cash, and not substantially better than snorkeling around the island--which is INCREDIBLE. If/when I go back, I will likely avoid all extra activities, including the massage which was OK, but prices were per person and not per couple, and $300 for a massage was...not worth it for us. I felt like a lot of the add-ons were cool, but wound up being $1,100 for us, and combined with the flight/speedboat that doubled the total cost of the stay. Would have been fine if I could have planned ahead and expected the expenses, just felt a little nickled and dimed throughout which annoyed me. It's a resort and you know they're going to tourist trap you, so this is not exactly a complain, just something I wish I had known.

still a perfec Maldives journey (our second), will come back again in Dec!

if you like snorkeling in group of sharks, this is the place. everything looks amazing. the hotel will arrange staff to meet you at male international airport, arrange domestic flight for you, and arrange you to wait in the Moonimaa lounge. when you arrive at the local airport there is also staff to pick you up to connect you to the boat. there is one glass welcome sparkling wine since you step on the island. there is also welcome handmade necklace. of course the scenery is always amazing!!! we arrived in afternoon missed the lunch time, they already arranged some food in our room. very very considerate! the restaurants are also trying their best to change the menu and diversify food. please be noted, your stay in Moonimaa lounge, either arrival or departure, will be arranged by the hotel. you don’t need to pay by yourself.

everything is perfect , except when we left and arrived at male domestic airport, there were a few hours before international flight. the staff there asked us if we want to stay in lounge or touring in the city before checkin , I chose lounge. I thought we were talking about Moonimaa lounge where we stayed on 1st day on arrived and waited for domestic flight. then he guided me to buy lounge tickets, when I paid and got the tickets I then realized this Leeli lounge is in the international airport(after check-in), which means only after check-in we could use that lounge. then we were sent back to Moonimaa lounge to wait! the ridiculous thing was when we checked in and went into Leeli lounge, there was only less than 1 hour before boarding, the price listed at the Leeli door is much much cheaper than what I paid outside. in summary, we can stayed in Moonimaa lounge before checkin, but staff there misled us to pay for the unnecessary Leeli lounge at a higher price that we actually cannot enjoy . I know this is not Robinson’s responsibility, but Robinson has a duty stop this behavior.

Exceptional

The location, the staff very welcoming, the partying, the exceptional food, the activities during the stay, the accommodation.

1. You can feel it in the air that is a german resort, and what was annoying during all our stay was the fact that they only speak in german although there were a lot of asians and non-german people on the island. Concrete exemples: - when we arrived, the manager (big one) was waiting at the jetty to welcome the new guest. We were 2 groups: a big one of 7 - europeans and a small one, family of 4 - german. The manager passed by us and welcomed the german group and for us was sent a tinny maldivian employee who barely knew English. - at the beginning of every party the manager said some words for all the guests of the island but in... German. No need to say that we were numb. - one night they presented a special night: a presentation of Maldives. Everyone was watching the movie and a manager was explaining all the slides .... in German. We waited for the English version but they skipped that part. The only ones who deserved all our respect were the guys from Deep Breeze - water sports. They helped us every time and they were speaking english all time. Also the Food and Beverage guys were exceptional (Nadja is the most respectful guy I ever met). 2. I don’t know if it is because of the water or something else but the bathroom plumbing and accessories were in bad shape, rusty and damaged. That was the only thing bad in matter of accommodation. 3. Check out very attentive what all inclusive package means. Conclusion: We spent a lovely time here, being a big group we had fun every night, the island is ready for you if you wanna party, dance, play or socialize. But the language barrier is very annoying. I can compare other resorts visited from Maldive with this one and I can confirm that everyone is using English like an international language. Can’t figure it out why Robinson has this kind of issues. Hopefully they will understand in time and make everyone feel good.
